Pastor - Rev. steve fortenberry

Born in Memphis, but mostly raised in Indiana, Rev. Steve Fortenberry came to faith in high school and was nurtured in the faith at Taylor University, a Christian liberal arts college in Indiana. He was a youth ministry intern for two years at Harvey Browne Memorial Church in Louisville while attending Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He has served churches in New Castle, PA; North Lima, OH; and Greenwood, MS. He has an adult daughter in Cincinnati and an adult special needs son in Indianapolis. He enjoys biking, hiking, fishing, and working with his hands.

Music Director - Melissa McDaniel

Melissa McDaniel is a graduate of Belmont University in Nashville, TN with a degree in church music. She first served Central Presbyterian as music director from 1995-2002. Since that time she has served as music director in churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, New Jersey, and Florida. 


In 2017 Melissa returned to Central and sang in the choir until assuming the role of choir director in 2019. It is her desire that the choir's music speaks to the hearts and souls of everyone who worships with us and that they are drawn closer to God in those moments. She is grateful to be a part of the worship experience at Central Presbyterian Church.        

office manager - Misty dorsey

Misty Crim Dorsey was born and raised in Caldwell County, the daughter of the late Vivian and Wilbur Paul. Misty graduated from Murray State University with a masters in education. She is married to Todd Dorsey, and together they have five children, Madison, Emily, Keltie, Nolan and Jonah. They also have a granddaughter, Paisley. Todd works at Wright Implement in Owensboro. Misty enjoys spending time with her family. The family are members of Goodsprings Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fredonia, KY.

Church Treasurer - Pat Hayes

Pat Hayes has been a member here at Central Presbyterian Church all of her life, being baptized in the old church building! Pat has seen many things evolve over the years into what our church is now, in both the building and the congregation. She has many fond memories of past members who were all influential Presbyterians and helped her growth including church picnics, family dinners, and outings to the lake. She has been through three organs and several ministers! Some of her memories include building the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, updating Huff Court, and the North Entrance.


In 2002, when Pat began as our Treasurer, her accounting duties were on paper. Now the ease of a computer is much appreciated to help her balance accounts and with Session and congregational reports. She currently attends Session meetings to keep informed and answer any question that may arise, sits on the Finance Committee, and Congregational Fellowship Committee, keeps up with committee budgets, payroll, and paying taxes. Keeping bills current and getting the mail are a few of her many undertakings. Pat's husband Bob, is heavily involved in the community; they enjoy vegetable gardening and spending time together with their three children and their grandchildren. Pat also enjoys traveling to the beach and flower gardening. She is an active member of our community as well and is involved in many community activities and organizations.

Maintenance - Gerry Baker

Gerry Baker is a long-time member of Central Presbyterian Church and is a retired high-school teacher of agriculture and FFA Advisor. 


Gerry's duties include overseeing the maintenance of the church facility and acting as liaison between the Trustees and professional tradesmen. Should any problem occur with the facility or grounds, you may contact Gerry. He will then contact the Trustee chairman should the problem be major.


Gerry keeps in contact with the custodian to make sure she/he has ample supplies and to notify of any problem areas within the building and to advise of any scheduled special events. He makes sure the church's trash is place curbside for pickup by the waste management company.

Custodian - tina Wynn

Tina Wynn is from Lamasco, KY. She graduated from Lyon County High School and currently resides in Princeton, KY. Tina works as our church custodian and is a caregiver and cook. She is a member of Charity Baptist Church. Tina loves spending time with her boyfriend, Breck Ladd and her fur son, George Clayton.
